The short version

Aparichit.com sets no cookies, uses no analytics, advertising or tracking, and has no accounts. Nothing you type here is sent to us unless you choose to record your complaint in the ledger.

What you type in the Talk Box

Your answers stay in your browser's memory while the page is open, and are gone when you reload or close the tab — unless, after the last question, you choose Share it. The questions are part of a work of fiction — please don't enter real information about real people.

Complaints you record in the ledger

If you choose Share it, your answers (and which kind of complaint they matched, and the language you used) are sent to us with the time they arrived. Nothing else is attached: no name, account, email or cookie of yours. They are stored by our database provider, Supabase, in Mumbai, India (AWS ap-south-1), and read by the person who runs this site.

We decide whether to show a complaint. If we do, we first edit it — names are shortened to initials, number plates are masked, and anything that could identify someone is removed — and only that edited version appears in the ledger, where anyone can read it. Complaints we reject are deleted within 30 days. The answers as you typed them are never shown.

Because a recorded complaint carries nothing that identifies you, we cannot find "your" complaint on our own; if you want one removed, write to [email protected] quoting its ledger mark (such as № 3F2A) or the words in it, and we will delete it.

Language

The language you choose is kept in this browser's local storage (an entry named aparichit.lang) and in the page address, so the site opens in it next time. On your first visit only, to suggest a language, the site asks GeoJS (get.geojs.io) which country and state your IP address is in; the answer is used for that suggestion alone, is kept only until you close the tab, and is never sent to us. A complaint you share is stored with the language you used.

What is stored on your device

Apart from your language, nothing, unless you tick Remember me on this device. Then one entry named aparichit.visitor is kept in this browser's local storage. It holds only: that you confirmed you are 18 or older, whether you have finished the intro, and when you made the choice. It is used only to skip the age check and the intro on later visits. It is never sent to a server and expires after 12 months. You can erase it any time in Privacy settings, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Fonts, videos and other files

Everything, fonts included, is served from this website itself. No third-party embeds are loaded. The only other services the site talks to are GeoJS, once, on your first visit (see Language), and Supabase, only when you open the ledger (to read the published complaints) or record a complaint; like any server, each sees your IP address when it answers.

Server logs

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may log technical details of each request (IP address, browser type, time and page requested) to keep the site secure and running. These logs are not used to identify, profile or follow visitors, and are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.

Age

This site is meant for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly process data about children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the EU/UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 or California's CCPA — you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority. We hold no account or contact details about you; a recorded complaint can be deleted as described above. Write to [email protected] with any question or request. We do not sell or share personal information.

Changes

If this changes again — say we add analytics — we will update this notice first and ask for your consent wherever the law requires it.
